We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer who is proficient in Video Editing and is comfortable working to post videos and/or images to websites or social media channels. The primary responsibility will be to work on video editing tasks, but there will also be design tasks to attend to when there are no video editing tasks.

  • Is full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • The position would be a mix of graphic design and video editing. To set expectations correctly, we currently have more design needs than video editing needs.
  • Design Work: The design work will involve a mix of UX/UI for software products that are being developed and refined, as well as designs and page layouts for websites or one-off designs to help our clients bring their brands to life via various online channels.
  • Video Editing: The video editing tasks require someone who can work on short and long video content. There will also be some videos needed  for social media postings.

Our projects are a mix of brand development (logos, fonts, colors, etc.) to templated social media graphics, refreshed designs for existing websites and design options for new websites. We also deliver everything from email newsletters to business cards and anything in between to help our clients build brand awareness.

We need someone who is familiar with how design converts to CSS and HTML. We use tools like Figma and Tailwind to help with that. You aren’t expected to be a master of all of the tools, but we love people who are willing to dig and figure out what works best in any given scenario.

Regarding our interview process, we believe that formal interviews don’t reasonably reflect people’s ability to deliver, their communication and whether they are a good fit in our organization. Instead, we do more minimal interviews and hire people on a probationary basis (slightly lower pay for a short period of time). During that time, if either of us feel it isn’t a good fit, then we can choose to part ways. Hopefully you’ll have made some money and learned a few things to add to your CV and we’ve gotten some great design work in the meantime.

Below are some additional details on what we’re looking for in a candidate. We look forward to hearing from you!!

What you’ll do:

  • Take long-form video content and be able to edit and cut it up into short-form content
  • Edit videos for social media postings and do any other video editing related tasks
  • Translate concepts from completed creative briefs into appropriate design recommendations, and develop concepts help client ideas come to life
  • Create and execute fresh design ideas for websites, software user experience, email, social, print collateral, tshirts and other marketing communications
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, small or large, with various project leads
  • Prioritize workload and demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Receive, understand and resolve client feedback with creative solutions and a can-do attitude

You have:

  • An unquenchable thirst for knowledge
  • Structured problem solving skills that enable you to break down a large complex challenge into achievable intermediate steps
  • Internal motivation to do great work, and require little to no supervision to accomplish tasks
  • Mad Google skills that allow you to sort out whatever problems may arise
  • Incredible attention to detail

Your skills:

  • You are an organized Video Editor with good communication skills to effectively receive and relay a wide variety of information
  • You love to do graphic design work (layouts, fonts, colors…)
  • You can design within an existing WordPress template, or from a blank canvas
  • Your English allows you to easily understand the meaning of input and feedback provided by people in the United States
  • Your meme game is fire, but you don’t use those in your edited videos and designs

We are:

  • Flexible – You get to work from home, during your normal workday with pre-defined but flexible check-in times that allow us to communicate real-time
  • Professional – We pay a fair wage, twice a month, on-time, quickly and directly using Wise (formerly Transferwise) and track your time using Click-up which is also our Project Management tool and where communications on task related items should primarily happen
  • Communication-focused – We use Google Chat/Spaces for all other communication but are also available via email or voice if needed
  • Generous – We offer incredible benefits that we can discuss once you clear the first hurdle in the hiring process
  • Fun – We like to laugh and joke, we don’t take ourselves too seriously
  • People-oriented – We care about you (and your family) and we treat you like a person
  • Career-oriented – We want this to be a great experience that adds to your career, so we want to make sure what you do furthers your career

Our mission is to be the best Filipino home-based employer. We provide you many of the benefits of being in an office environment with the flexibility of working from the comfort of your home. Get your time back from that long commute, and come work with us!
