IDEA is a nonprofit that opens doors for Deaf learners through education, community programs, and donor-supported initiatives. Email is their lifeline to supporters—but for years, it was stuck in a print-era mindset.
Newsletters went out as PDF attachments—basically digital photocopies of print mailers. The content was solid, but the format wasn't built for how people actually read email. On mobile, supporters got dense, image-heavy PDFs with buried CTAs and no clear way to engage. Internally, big campaigns turned into all-hands scrambles.
